John Carter had a big bomber black pill article, titled “What Happens When the Regime Steals the 2024 Election?” It is blunt and it is unrelenting. The Kali Yuga is upon us. The election will be like the last one, except like every sequel More Bigger and Dumberer, because despite being half a lifetime younger than Joe Biden, Kamala Harris is somehow too much of an embarrassment to actually campaign or give interviews. Apparently she has the brains of a pencil eraser and the emotional continence of a potty-training toddler. None of this matters, because they’re going to run the same playbook again: keep her out of the limelight, except under carefully controlled circumstances, and then Fortify that Election with as many ballots as it takes. What’s Trump Gonna do? Demand the Vice-President uncertify the election again?
No, but seriously. What is Trump going to do? Because he went all in on the Stolen Election last time around. Either he didn’t believe that, and was just trying to pull victory out of the jaws of defeat, which would make him a bit of a clown, or he did believe it. But if that’s the case, surely it’s occurred to him that he’ll have to find some means of counteracting the Fortification. Is he going to stuff his own ballots? Is he going to declare the election invalid if he does, and establish a new White House in, let’s say Montgomery, AL, just to underline the farce? What, praytell, in his orange, bullet-free skull, does he in fact, have?Because if he’s just planning to Vote Moar Harderer, Because This Time Will Be Different, then he’s a bigger moron than his worst critics imagined.
But Billionaire Psycho has the other take, which puts Curtis Yarvin and Christopher Rufo on the love seat together and makes them kiss. The election may be lost, sure, but the Regime is not all-powerful. Its actions have put into play centrifugal forces that will destroy it. With enough small, local victories, pressure builds against the regime, and it makes a mistake. This is the logic upon which all guerrilla insurgencies function. And even if Yarvin is right, and the Regime cannot be restored, it is to those who resist it with action that power will fall to after it is gone, at least, theoretically.
But do we have the discipline for it? Can the energy last? Will leadership emerge, or will it bleed out like the Populists of yore? Is Donald Trump just the William Jennings Bryan of his era? Is Rufo’s movement just the new Tea Party? Will it be Different This Time?
The Ukrainians are winning again. They are always winning until we forget about how hard they are winning, and then they do something awesome and we remember again, and Putin is defeated this time for sure. We’ll stick it to that Putin guy, who’s bad and does bad things like open mosques and not have pride parades. And he shoots journalists, which only bad Americans think is funny. Good Americans love the press, and listen to them, because they Care about Us.
I have made it a habit to believe nothing about the Russo-Ukrainian War until a few weeks have gone by and Big Serge goes through the debris to tell us, in numbers, what has occurred. His latest is another exercise in sobering up his readership about the Ukies’ Invasion of Russia, the Second Battle of Kursk, which he calls Operation Krepost (this being the Slavic word for “citadel”, after the German Operation Citadelle which is what gave us the First Battle of Kursk in 1943):Krepost ultimately reflects a growing Ukrainian frustration with the trajectory of the war in the east, where the AFU has grown weary of the industrial slugfest with its bigger and more powerful neighbor. By flinging a secretly assembled mechanized package at a lightly defended and previously ancillary sector of front, they briefly managed to reopen mobile operations, but the window of mobility was far too small and the gains far too meager. It has now become clear that the decision to divert forces to Kursk has undermined the already precarious defense of the Donbas. Ukraine hold Sudzha and may very well clear the south bank of the Seim, but if it comes at the expense of Pokrovsk and Toretsk, that is a trade that the Russian Army will be happy to make.
But, just like Kamala Harris’ fecklessness and Joe Biden’s senility, this will remain unacknowledged. We will feed those that want to believe their daily ration of Copium Soma. We will assure them that History is With Them. The Bad Orange Man and his Russian Puppet Master will fall upon the ash-heap. It Will Be Different This Time.

"But do we have the discipline for it? Can the energy last? Will leadership emerge, or will it bleed out like the Populists of yore? Is Donald Trump just the William Jennings Bryan of his era? Is Rufo’s movement just the new Tea Party? Will it be Different This Time?" Good and necessary questions!
